I didn't send anything to Melanie's office after the IVA was approved. To be honest, I'm not sure whether I should or not. I think they know who the money is paid to and once the balances are verified then the letters can go in the bin, unless you're still getting letters months after in which case I'm sure Melanie's team will want to contact them for you. I had two letters and one statement but that's it, and no phone calls at all![:)] X

Hi Abi. Well Im glad to see som-one else had as much a mixed variety of cards and lenders as I did!! Nothing to be proud of I know, not making light of it, but at least you've got it sorted. The sum payable each month may feel scarey at the minute but Im sure its a lot better than what you would have been paying if you didnt GET YOUR iva. You'll have high times and low times but be sure to keep in touch with the forum as its an absolute brilliant support mechanism in times of need.
Good Luck.

Thank you Bev,
Our monthly amount equates to the three loans we were paying so not a lot of difference there, but god only knows how we were payng for all those Credit Cards as well, I feel so sorry for my hubby as he was trying his best for so long juggling payments on the credit cards and I never knew how serious it was untill there were no juggling left to do, It has certainly made us a stronger unit and now we both now exactly where we are with our finances. I will keep intouch as I am hooked on the forum, and hopefully I might be able to give support to others out there wondering if its the right thing to do, believe me IT IS.
Love Abi x

We are happy to recieve mail for a month or so after the date of your IVA, just so that we can keep our records updated, but after that the shredder will be of good use!
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

we will pay back 41,000 inc. IPs fees and we have already paid...17,000 back so in actual fact we only owe...24,000...
i prefer to look at it like this now...!!!! keeps me sane
