Hi all, sorry i've been a while posting.Well mine has been accepted with a small lift in repayments, but o/h (that offered a better return) is kind of in limbo. They want him to up his payment quite a lot and we had a look and shaved some things off our expenditure and are now awaiting the creditors response.I feel weird because although mine is accepted ,his is not and as a couple although the iva's are seperate our money is put together for bills etc.We had a few words earlier with me trying to see where we could cut back more and him saying "sod it i may as well go bankrupt".Anyway i've managed to calm him down and persuade him to wait and see what happens before we talk about that. I will keep you all posted as to results, thanks for all your posts they mean a lot xxxx

Oh Trees - well you're halfway there. Just watch you don't "shave" too much off. It has to be a realistic pay back figure for you to exist.

I'm always surprised why they don't accept the proposal - they'll get a lot less if you go BR.

Keep thinking positive.

I'm with the others here - you're half way there so keeping things crossed for your o/h.
As previously said don't shave too much off - you still have to live and food, fuel etc prices are still rising.
Good luck,
Chardonnay

Trees and Hubby.

I hope everything is okay for you both. We have a meeting with Melanie tomorrow regarding our proposals.

I feel sick and I am scared [:I]

I wish things had been more straight forward for you both. XX

Evening,it's been a weird day and i still feel a little bittersweet. As i mentioned although mine is approved o/h's will affect me and it does seem an awful lot more that they want.Still i'm trying to forget it for the weekend and leave it in the capable hands of Melanie and her team.We did end up in a row today and a lot of what it felt like a few months ago reared it's ugly head,i guess it's just a mixture of what's going on where we live and just the events of the last few months taking it's toll. Most importantly we have to try not to let it affect our relationship,as it did nearly split us in January.
On a lighter note one tick has come off of Bruce, and the other WILL be coming off later as we have brought the tweezers mentioned on my other thread!!![:)]
