Will be interesting to hear what they have to say, Julie. There is another Company called Cartel Client Review who advertise on Smooth FM who advertise with the same message. I thought the same as Melanie, that it sounded like a load of old tosh[:)] there's bound to be a catch.
IVA accepted 13/11/2008..17 payments down,55 to go..

I've just had a look at them, and another firm doing this, this is part of their speil on there:

We can work with anyone that has credit card debts or personal/business loan debts.

Can you answer yes to any of the questions below? If you can, there is a strong likelihood that we will be able to help you manage your way out of debt for good!

Do you:

Have credit card debts that you are struggling to repay?
Regularly search online for debt solutions?
Have high credit card balances or multiple credit card balances?
Wish to re-mortgage in order to consolidate your debt?
Want you get your life back under control?
Want to live debt-free and stress-free?

This is definitly inviting people to avoid debt. We would all love to be debt free, and most of us on here will be soon, but at least we will have paid back some of what we owe instead of trying to wriggle out of it altogether.

It goes on about contracts not being right. All I can say is, before you sign a contract, you are supposed to read it, including the small print, if you don't and something comes to light afterwards - surely that's your fault and not the creditors?

I wonder how many of these claims have been successful?

And they also say this as well:

We are particularly able to help those who have previously entered into Debt Management Agreements, Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVA) or declared Bankruptcy.

How?

It'll cost you though Skip £295 for the first audit, £195 for the second and £95 for any others! Don't know if it's refundable if they can't do anything.

Cartel Client Review is £495 per audit (same price as going br!) but apparantly they do refund.

There was an article on them in the Mail on 5th September which I have just read, and they don't rate them.

This is a way to obtain information from people who are in financial distress and who are (whether in an IVA or DMP) doing there utmost to pay back what they can realisticly afford. It is likely to be a way into duping people and putting them in the promised land. My advice is to tread carefully before answering the ads. Also speak to your IP or Debt Management Plan provider who will look into case specific matters for you.

Fortunately David, I think most of us on here are too sensible (or cynical) to be duped by these sort of firms. Unfortunately, there are people out there who are just desperate enough to believe them.

If it sounds too good to be true, it most probably is.

I agree Jan, not for one minute did I read it and think "yea end of IVA". I know I'm repeating myself, but I'm annoyed they are using a free community magazine to entice / dupe vulnerable people.[:(!]

I totally agree Julie.

I wonder how long it will be till they start sending those of us on the register letters offering to help?
