Were i live, i have lived for two years, the first house on a culdesac, i park on the road, then 12 months ago the council started knocking on my door to move car so dustbin wagon can past, even thought heirs been no problem getting past for 12 months, even fire engines and removal vans get past.
When twins were born i wrote a letter asking them not knock on the door, i found out then that dustbin men are not allowed to do this.
Then the police came and said the highways have got involved and even though i am not breaking the law, you do not have a right to park outside your house and gave me a leter stating that every wednesday between 7am and 9am i must move the car or the police wil fine in, in all fairness the police said for us to fine you we need to see your car parked their and theirs no way we are coming out before 9am so youll never get fined, and even if we did, we cant prove who actually parked their, and the police even said they have enough room to get past.
I had a meeting with the council and asked could not change the route so the came past my are at 9am when i had gone back to work, the answer was that the dustbin men want to get finished as early as possible.
It all turns out that its more the dustbin men than the council who have now made it awakward for me, and they empty bins about 6.45am, so the sooner they can finish the sooner they get home.
To me its a matter of principle and i want to amke it awkward for them
