The long journey starts Chris, you will get through it and it will be a blessing when you are finally debt free. Good luck.

The call centre often know nothing about anything ! Some don't even know what an IVA is !
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

It is only around 3 weeks since your IVA was accepted, so remain patient and creditors will eventually get the message and act accordingly.

I was getting phone calls from Barclaycard for about 2 months chasing me for money. There system said I was in an iva and try even knew who was hand eking it but still requested I made payment. In the end I contacted my ip and the calls stopped immediately
What's more stressful, living on a budget with a big clock counting down to freedom or not knowing who's going to call you next asking where there money is??

It's not what we do, it's how we deal with it that counts

Barclays were my worst creditor and it took a while for the news of my IVA filter through to them but it did in the end. Hang in there.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
