I'll second that Jan, Lloyds took there loan payment from my Lloyds account when they weren't aware of my IVA proposal, they did send a late payment notice first because the DD was canceled the proceeded to take their money that just topped up my OD a little more (all included in the IVA proposal!)
Approved 3rd June 2009 first payment made on the day.
Offer made and settled - happy days

I tried to cancel the DD but wasn't allowed to! They refused to up my overdraft and got stroppy when I wouldn't take out a managed loan. They also told us to remortgage (which we stupidly did) to pay off their debt (which we didn't!).

i banked with HSBC and 80% of my debt was with them so while the paper work was been done i opened an account with halifax tranfered all my money over to the new account and cancel DD and SO and set them up again with the new account because the minute HSBC got the letter i was going for an IVA they froze the account.

i have my morgage with hsbc also and still do had no problems with them on that.

never got any phone call or letters and they said yes to IVA
