I was 5 months behind on some of my bills when I got my IVA. The relief was fantastic - (almost)as good as winning the lottery

I've looked at your case this evening, and it's full steam ahead as far as we are concerned! Do not worry about default notices, just follow the advice my team are giving you and I will speak to you very soon.

Trina - I felt that people would judge me for being in such a mess but I too was in your position only a few weeks ago and now Melanie and her team are "sorting" me out! I have two daughters one who is 20 at Uni and knows how bad things are, the other is 12. Things have been a bit tetchy around the house to say the least but I just keep saying that we are all very tired at the moment becuase we are working so hard. She also asks why we are so poor at the moment because somethings she asks for I say - not at the moment or "we can't afford it". It doesn't help that most of her friends seem to have lots of things and go places. I have just told her straight that we are not poor but from now on we are only having things if we can pay for them and not put them on credit cards - I then give her a speech about how credit is wrong so we just have to save up for things. She seems to have accepted this and doesn't go on too much now.

Thanks Melanie,

What a relief, I'm already feeling calmer, I know there's a long way to go and not to get over excited but I know things are moving in the right direction.

What a brilliant bunch of people are on this forum!! They are an inspiration.

I have no more tears left tonight to shed got a thumping headache so hopefully when my head touches the pillow I can sleep. xx
