Hi, i posted previously to say how worried i was bout renting with my iva.
updae is, we found the perfect house with a different agent, told them the truth bout iva, and they were fine!!! they just said as long as we have a good reference from current agent and proof of income then it is ok, they didnt even do a credit check on us as they said as we had been honest and upfront it was pointless as it would come back poor!

i cant believe how worried i was, so i thought id let u all know. we move in 3 weeks time
:)

That is brilliant news crazychic! Gives hope to other posters in the same situation.

Good luck with the move, and keep posting to let us know how you are getting on.

Glad to see some agents having the sense to realise that a credit check isnt the be all and end all to getting new tenants they are happy with.

Enjoy your new home.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.

Fab news so posters shop around with different Agents if you are having problems of renting whilst in an IVA.
