Just to let you know my hubby received his £60 tax refund in his weekly wage today, so everyone else should receive theirs if their wage is paid monthly. Nice to have a bit of good news!!

Sorry if ive posted this in the wrong place!

Nice one Flashingblade! I'm not optimistic I'll get mine - our accountant said no-one was actually getting any extra! I'll keep an eye on my tax code and see what happens!

Hopefully we will get ours at the end of the month. Makes a change to receive something instead of paying it out!

Don't see why you shouldn't get one Skip. It's supposed to be for everyone in the normal tax band, but not those on the higher rate.

I'll get it eventually, but it depends how long it takes them to get sorted out - the accountant isn't exactly efficient!

Fuzzy, it's anyone paying normal rate tax, not the higher rate.

Hi Guys, If you pay tax at the basic rate of 20 per cent:

The changes take effect from the first pay day on or after 7 September and equate to a tax saving of approximately £120 over the course of the tax year. If your September pay day is on or after 7 September, you will pay up to £60 less tax that month. If you’re paid monthly and your September pay day was before 7 September, you will pay up to £70 less tax in October. How much your tax reduces will depend on how much you’ve paid already – and in some cases you might get a repayment as part of your pay.

After this if you’re paid monthly you will pay up to £10 a month less tax and if you’re paid weekly you will pay up to £2.30 less tax. (The actual figures will depend on your income.)
If you pay tax at the higher rate of 40 per cent

The changes only benefit basic rate taxpayers.

Hope this helps.

I've seen what hubby's got in his pay as I've checked online he he but no idea if it includes the tax rebate, I'll find out Monday when he picks up payslip. He earns different every week due to overtime and location of his work and no good asking me where he was last week as I have a hard job remembering where I was. lol x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
