We received our full and final payment and have received our letter of release from the county court. Our origional case amnagers were money debt and credit who sold on to grant thornton who are sending us letters and phoning us.simply to tell us they had bought our case they now want us to sign a new agreement with them due to a VAT case and PPI claim. We have not been contacted by any bank or loan company so presume we are not entitled to a claim. Probably would say we knew what we were signing so this will end. All finished 14 months ago as we thought.

Hello,

This is exactly what's happening to me. Have you had any closure?

If you have had a completition certificate tell them to go away in whatever language you prefer!
Time to end of IVA 0 days
Time to end of GT dealing with it...CC recieved after a battle royal !!

We have had a letter from the county court stating completion. Then letters from Grant Thornton saying they had taken over from Money Debt and Credit after the letter from the court, still on going we just want to be left alone now paid our dues but it never ends. Going to have to try to get Grant Thornton to leave us alone as it just keeps bringing up our problems that we thought we had settled. Really reel harassed as we just can't move on.

I am rather confused here, as the Court does not issue any paperwork to anyone once a case has been concluded. Has the paperwork in fact been generated by your IP? When did you receive this document?

Not as confused as we were. We have a document Which clearly states notice of completion dated 28 September 2012. This is signed by a joint supervisor. This is what we thought was all said and done from Bath county court as it stated that the terms of the IVA had been satisfied and a certificate of completion is enclosed. If we had read on as we all should then it goes on to state that administration of the IVA will remain open pending a potential VAT refund from HMRC to be paid as a further dividend to our creditors.
So if this is the case why do we seem to be harassed as all we wast is for this to be put to bed, we can't make the VAT claim and have made all payments as requested.

It probably just states Bath County Court at the top, as this was the Court your original proposal was lodged in Terry. My own certificates state exactly the same, however it doesn't mean that the Court has sanctioned the release - merely that they will be informed.

Your case is now effectively closed bar one or two administrative things your IP needs to do. Your name will shortly be removed from the insolvency register as well - so I would say you are 99.9% of the way there, and I do think that your IP has taken a sensible view here.

Sadly the last few weeks at MDC were a terrible state of affairs and GT brought the IVA back book solely to try and make money out of PPI claims hence why they were not in a position to offer any decent customer service and respond to quesitons. The staff at MDC were treated disgracefully, given redundancy notice then worked like slaves for all hours to get the files in order for GT to take over. Jobs were left in limbo, one day we were told we were leaving in Feb, then it kept dragging on with little communication. Great staff there who worked hard for the clients but sadly led by managers who were only interested in making themselves rich.
