Some IP firms take up to 6 months to close a case. Chase them up in writing by recorded delivery.

There have been issues but it does seem that cases are being closed. It may be worth asking the administrators for a timescale or if there are any other problems.

The administration has slowed things up there, but I would keep the pressure on and asked for regular updates.

Hi there,

My final payment was back in September 2015 and still waiting, been chasing the administrator company every now and then, and now apparently I have to wait for the IP to sign this off.

good luck.

Younis do you mean September 2016 instead of 2015? If not then I suggest you make a complaint as it only takes a couple of weeks but the maximum is 6 months...!!

Lisa -- this firm is in liquidation and the Administrators have had to go to the courts for permission to issue completion certificates. By all accounts the courts needed some deliberation before allowing cases to proceed and a back log has developed.

This process can take a while. I suggest you keep on pushing and keep a record of it all.
if you have been on a 6 year IVA check online to see if you have received a fresh credit file. If so you should receive your CC anytime.

Hi Lisa, yes September 2015 and then called Varden in January 2016 and they said completion should be made in March, then they went into administration.

I'm aware of that - I just didn't realise the post was about VN when I replied.
