Hi chaps,

Hope I posted this in right place - not sure so sorry admin until I get hang of new layout!

Just wanted to share that my silly bit of good news! Long story short but we got charged £47 recently for a repair on our suite when in fact it was down to faulty workmanship and so should not have been charged! However, instead of just accepting another kick this time i wrote a long and scathing letter detailing why it was not right to charge us and then low and behold, yesterday I got a call apologising and giving us a refund in full of the £47! I never moan or complain so really chuffed that I won this time!

I know it sounds silly and I am a bit sad but when you watch every penny little victories like this really make my day so wanted to share! Plus it will pay for my upcoming MOT! Woo Hoo!! [:D][:I]

That's brilliant Til, good for you. X

I always complain too. Last Friday I received Sainsbury's reward vouchers only for when you do a £60 or more shop. I emailed them and asked them why they sent them as I never spend more than £60 in one go. They emailed straight back saying it was to encourage the customers to spend more.....at least he was honest. Anyway, he apologised and credited my reward card with 1000 points![^]

Good for you Til ! & what a result! you did right to stand up to them,& it just goes to show that with a bit of determination you can actually get a result.I used to be a bit of a softie & once of a day would've just paid the bill & accepted it,but nowaday's if i think ive been 'diddled' or wrongly charged for something i will stand my ground & put forward my complaint!![:D]so,good for you,& like you say you can put the money towards something else! even if it is just for your mot[:(]every little helps[:)]x

Til, that's great news. I complain about everything where I feel treatment is unjust or quality is substandard. It comes from the days when I worked in customer services and realised the stupid things people complain about. That is a real victory, go on - treat yourself, you deserve it.[;)] Kazzy x

Great news Til ... it pays to rattle your cage occasionally
When I was young I was called a rugged individualist
When I was in my fifties I was considered eccentric
Here I am doing and saying the same things I did back then and now I'm labelled senile

Well done Viki - I'll have to remember that one when I get anything like that through the post.
