we went to a bridal shop , daughter found the dress of her dream and then by chance we found exact one on ebay in the right size.

Its worth a try rooroo - we saved about £600! We did chose a buyer that accepted refunds just in case though, so there really wasn't a risk.

There are loads of dresses on ebay so its definitely worth looking.

How are the rest of your plans coming along? xx

not too bad thanks, obviously everything is being done on a budget as we're paying for it ourselves.
The church is booked and either my dad or brother are driving us to the church. We're having the celebrations at home and doing the buffet ourselves - cheaper and no doubt much better. We're luck cos we have a big house, but saying that we're only inviting about 40 people!
My mum is making and decorating the wedding cake. The little flower girls are having high street dresses which will be ok for special occassions, so can at least wear them next christmas and my matron of honour is sorting herslf out, luckily she knows of the financial difficulty so is great about it all!
JUst got to go and see the registrar and get the blue form for the vicar.
Have seen a couple of dresses but defo need to lose some pre baby weight, couple of stone would be great - might have to have a word with Kallis and she how she's done it!

Mine was very drastic RooRoo - I had a gastric bypass 12 months ago!

flippin eck, you're really brave, but is obviously paid off for you. I lost 8 stone years ago and went from size 30 to size 16/18, but over the last 4 years i've crept back up to a size 22 and would love to get back to the 16/18 - need to lose 4 stone!
I just love my food and i'm a comfort eater which doesn't help. I'm on Orlistat at the mo but saying that i've not taken them for 3 weeks as been so poorly, so back at the docs next week, so planning on buckling down after the weekend!

I've had those before and I must admit that I don't like the side effects!

It was a last resort as I had tried everything else. If you are on FB, email me your user name and I will add you as a friend and you can see my before and after piccies.

I don't regret having it done, eat very little now and get full very quickly.

I do know where you are coming from with the losing and then putting back on again.

I've done it so many times, alway vowed I'd never put the weight back on, and then ate for England!

I've done it myself got myself down to a nice trim 14 once but up again now to a size 16/18, yo-yo dieting is oh so common. In the New year once again I plan to lose the excess and keep it off

I think most of us have done it at some point.

Problem with me is that I loved my food and would eat anything! Now I'm not fussed, don't touch sweet stuff at all and if I eat too much it makes me ill.

Seem to have come to a standstill with the weight loss though - need to give it a kick start!

Good luck with the weight loss Rooroo. I'm trying to lose a couple of stones as well but it's not as easy as when I was younger and lost weight without really trying!

If you go into your profile and add Jan as a Frugal Friend and she adds you, you will be able to contact each other.

Good luck with the weight loss too RooRoo, I'm thinking in the New Year we'll resurrect the weight loss thread (maybe a new one) as that does help all of us trying to lose weight.
