Hi,

My niece is getting married in Portugal in September, and my two girls are going to be her bridesmaids. Obviously this means we are going to Portugal. What I want to know is how this will go down, as we have had to use hubbies Bonus money to pay for Flights, Etc. We have got it all as cheap as possible, but there is no way on this earth I could let my daughters down and not go due to our situation, it is not their fault we are in debt.Obviously we have not missed any payments, and are continuing to pay them.

Hi
Explain this to your IP and hopefully they will understand. At the worst you will have to repay half the bonus at a later date, maybe when hubby gets another bonus.
Some things in life are more important than debt and this is one of them
Enjoy

Hi Hillsy,
Gosh you've had your share of problems and heartache. This break sounds like just what you need and deserve. I will be praying and keeping everything crossed that your IP is understanding. Have a super holiday at least one meal will be free (at the wedding) so you can save pennies there!! I agree that some things are more improtant than debt family and relaxation being one of them.
Enjoy,
Chardonnay

I hope your IP is understanding. As Andy says some things are more important than money.

I'm sorry to hear about your sister, and your mother in law Tracy. I lost my uncle to lung cancer last year and it really puts things into perspective. Hugs to you both x

So long as this does not affect your basic payments - as Andy says go ahead and enjoy. Those little girls deserve a treat, and a wedding in the sun sounds perfect. You will need to advise your IP if you envisage a delay in paying over the creditors share of the bonus, but I cannot see too much of an objection to be frank.
