That is good advice Dee. I threw away trays and trays of food at our evening receiption - it was an absolute sin.

We were away last Saturday at a little get together, and a small buffet was laid on.

I noticed that a lot of the food there would have been thrown away and there wasn't a lot to start with!

I hardly ever eat when I'm out at a 'do' and never drink alcohol and I'm sure I'm not alone on this one so any wedding or function we go to I never bother with either. I'm a 'cheap' date or so I'm told as I can make a diet coke last all evening x

Awww, thanks for all the tips guys. I know what you mean about wasted food, the amount of weddings i've been to and no-one eats anything from the evening buffet is sinful!

I'm going to book a meeting with the wedding co-ordinator to talk figures etc. We tried to put a guest list together last night (how hard is that!) and its looking like about 40 for the day and who know's for the evening.

As for other bits and bobs, one of my sister's is really arty so i'm going to get her to do the invites and my other sister is a good cook so I might ask her to do the cake, or part of it. I've started looking at dresses and all the one's i've liked so far seem to be cheaper than average [:)]

Its all so exciting! I love it, really gives us something to look forward to.

x K

BHS do a good range of wedding dresses, and they do always look lovely.

I'm still dropping my not so subtle hints about Vegas, and although he hasn't said no, I haven't managed to get him to say yes either!

It's the fact that he's not said 'No' that's the important bit!

Hi all [:D]

The bargain hunting continues....

As for wedding dresses, luckily everything I like seems to be the cheaper end of the scale, with one dress in particular I like from Dessy being approx £250.

I've found a wedding ring I love and i'm just trying to find out if I can get it in a cheaper metal.....perhaps after IVA completes i'll get the real thing.

Now just flowers and cake really, i'm thinking making lots of those little cakes.

xx Kate [:)]
