9 weeks to FF summer BBQ so hopefully say with the 3lb I've lost already I'd hope to have lost a stone and a half by the time I see you at a rate of 2lb per week.

Having been talking about dieting for months now, I finally bit the bullet and started yesterday. I went on a low carb diet a while ago and had never felt so good, so trying that again but without the fat deprivation. Have spent all week reading an excellent book about low carbing, which examines 38 low carb diets in detail and goes into great detail about why they succeed and docors have got the whole high car, low fat thing wrong. VERY interesting reading. Will let you know how I get on.

Lesley, I too am at my heaviest and have about 3 stone to lose. You wouldn't thgink I used to run a gym! Comfort eating due to stress has been my downfall but now we've done the F&F IVA I'm hoping not to need the crips, doughnuts and bread I was so addicted to.

I tried Atkins a while back ( when it was in fashion) -- pretty effective at the weight loss, and tasty too :-) Might try it again, now I am single again ( the ex is vegan !)
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

My downfall is bread and crisps...

Atkins would suit me I think. I'm continuing weighing in at WW as it keeps me on track and helps my daughter (this is eldest daughter).

Me and Mrs H joined Slimming World in January. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and the device they wanted me to wear every night for 6 months was fearsome - Mrs H said it was like sleeping with Darth Vader !
Anyway I struck a deal with the hospital about losing weight instead, and after 2 stone off got discharged last week[:)]

Well done Hyperdrive !! That's fantastic. I'm doing weight watchers at min and slowly but surely its coming off. I want to lose around the 5 stone mark. So I know its going to be a long journey. There's a few at my workplace trying to lose weight so we're all putting in a £1 a week and who loses the biggest percentage at the end of a month wins the money. So even more incentive to lose the weight as every penny helps within the iva

Struzzo I was with ww and lost 3 stone, about 3 years ago. To be honest the weight came off quicker but I found the regime strict.
This time I`m averaging 1-2 lb per week but feel a lot happier about keeping on it.

Thank you.

Another 3lb off so that's 6 in two weeks, now for the odd half a pound to get my first half stone next week. x

Brilliant Lesley!

I'm under 13st for the first time in. I don't know how long! That's my first target hit, now got to keep at it and never see 13st again!
