Thankfully I don't have to worry about that anymore but do feel for people that struggle to lose weight.

Good luck to everyone.

Omlettes, they are filling and quite cheap to make, just watch any cheese you add, try and do healthier fillings, prawns are nice and very healthy and at this time of year the supermarkets are reducing the price of the frozen ones.

I'm in, I've just signed up for WW online, find tracking what I eat helpful. Lots to lose but this year is about making changes and feeling more in control of my eating and my finances!

Some very impressive weight losses on here, well done!
Last payment December 2019! OMG!

I've been reading this topic with great interest - I say every year that I really must change my habits. I've always been somewhat hefty but it is now causing me problems eg. my feet have swollen so much I am struggling to find shoes to fit properly, finding seats/leg room too small in public places, things like that [:(]

Like you Lesley I have problems with the motivation, and also the novelty wearing off after a while - I have made a little start by challenging myself not to buy crisps/chocolate until my birthday (mid March) That doesn't necessarily mean I won't eat them during this time [:D], but I thought it might be a good idea without being too impossible.

Motivating myself to do the exercise will be difficult though, there are some nice walks around here, but the damp weather we've been having recently plays havoc with my catarrh. Although I know that can be a vicious circle, as it is very often weight-aggravated!

I did weigh myself on New Year's Day, so I know where I am starting from, the shocking thing is that I have actually been heavier than that.
Final payment 1st April 2016.
Completion Certificate received 19th May 2016.

Have you considered either a gastric band or a bypass? If your health is being affected it is worth having a chat to your GP.

It's not a quick fix and is life changing but four years after having mine I don't regret it at all.

Skeef143,
We are all here motivating each other so if you have any tips that you have found works please pass them on.
That is a good goal to aim for
Mine is I have said I will do 30 minutes on my Wii fit every night (1 hour at weekends).6 days a week, so far its worked although it has only been 1 week LOL.

We can work together with this Skeef, I know I need to lose weight about 5 stone and once it's off I don't intend to put it on.

Each to their own but I couldn't do surgery purely for personal reasons. However, respecting everyone is different or we'd be boring wouldn't we? x

I dread to think what size I would be now if I hadn't had it done having yo-yo dieted for most of my adult life. I was morbidly obese with health problems and these have now cleared up.

You're a lot braver than me Niobe, there is no way I could have surgery!

Skeef, have you got a Wii Fit? It's quite a good way to do some gentle exercise and build up to harder fitness games.

It was worth the initial pain Skip - never looked back and fitter than I have ever been.
