Glad to hear it Richard. The media always portray men as preferring size zero, but I don't think it's really the case. Dave has told me I'm fine the way I am, but I want to lose a bit of weight for me so I feel better, not because anyone has told me I should.

Before I had kids I was just natrually thin, so are my kids, my daughter is a size eight and she worries about it all the time, they worry about being a size 10, its getting insane. I find this a worrying trend among very young girls. I am all for a healthy life-style in fact sports medcine is where my interest lay in my profession but looking like a skeleton isnt healthy and leads to all sorts of health problems.

me personally, i dont find ultra skinny girls attractive in the slightest, plus i love going out for nice meals, id hate it if my other half sat there eating a lettuce leaf wondering if it will make her fat...

lets be honest ere - skinny girls are media portrayed as sexy..

personally, id take charlotte church over kiear knightly every day of the week.
lots of payments to go.

Awww skint, you poor thing. Sounds like you have had a right horrible time. I hope youre not offended by any of this cos it really wasnt directed at natrually thin people. I was talking about the compulsive types who lose so much weight on purpose and the celebs who become matchsticks weeks after giving birth. I was really skinny before becoming a mom, people used to say all kinds of things to me.

I put a spare continental guilt over my sons matteress for a bit more cushoning, as he is really thin, it did help him to sleep a little better.

Chin up, we love you whatever shape and size you are.

I'm sorry Mrs Skint, you're making me feel guilty for saying I want to be slimmer! To be honest my main reason for doing it is that last year I had very bad back problems and it's starting to get worse again - losing a few pounds won't do my back any harm.

I hope things look up for you soon Mrs Skint x

No no offence taken. I would much rather have some more weight on me. I will give the quilt on the mattress a try and maybe strap some cushions to my hips LOL

Skippy dont feel guilty, i was desperate to lose weight before my illness but it just wasnt happening. Granted i am glad i lost some but not 4 stone of it.
Its funny the way i used to envy people thinner than me. Them days are long gone.

Glad I didn't upset you! Like Lily I was complaining about the Victoria Beckhams of this world who live off half a lettuce leaf.

It was someone's birthday at work yesterday and they bought in carrot cake AND chocolate cake - guess who had to have both as well as mint Aero balls? My excuse was I wanted to be at my heaviest before joining Fat Fighters, sorry, Weight Watchers!

Hi all
At the end of the day we are never happy, I dont eat that much but partly due to illness and I think hereditory I am big and always will be unless I resort to lettuce leaf eating. I still feel really unhappy at times especially when going to buy clothes, but when I did lose weight and look at the pics I thinkl i looked worse so i just put up with it and try to be careful but when we have a hol from work I buy naughty things like real butter and crusty bread, and have cooked brekkies.

I think you're better off having things like real butter Ang - I won't eat margarine as I think it's unnatural. I don't eat butter (or much other dairy most of the time, although I lapse like yesterday!) but I do like it. I try not to have artificial sweeteners either - I would rather have a little bit of sugar than a lot of sweeteners as I don't think they are any good for you either.

I do use the slver spoon half spoon stuff and to be honest I prefer it to sugar its half and half. I dont tend to eat much of the prepacked stuff ( as I sit here eating a chicken dinner out of a box ) most is fresh but on days like today when working nights i am lazy and have something like this. Does anybody cook like roast dinners and put them in the freezer, if so what do they taste like when re heated and do you put the gravy on as well. These box dinners are expensive and would only feed a child, I dont like stuff in boxes like lasagne I am a roast dinner person.
