Sorry Ang, I can't help you with that one - I don't cook anything more than fish fingers and the thought of cooking a roast dinner brings me out in a cold sweat! Dave is the chef in our house!

Oooh you lucky thing. I am fed up of cooking after bringing four kids up, it felt like cooking xmas dinner every day for 6 of us. Better now as there is just the two of us. I freeze stuff like spag bol for hubby but i am not that keen and like tyhe ordinary stuff, but doing nights you just dont feel like cooking for yourself, hubby gets up earlier and deals with himself on days when I am working.
Hopefully someone will know otherwise I will just ahve a go and see what trhey turn out like.

Ang

I freeze dinners ang, my son cant have certain things, when I feel like a chinese, its there, not the gravy though, you have to make that, its not the same as making it with the dinner but its a meal. Somethings come out mushier but I like mushed veg so I am not bothered. When my kids were babies, I used to blend it all and put it in ice cube trays and then the iced cubes of dinner into bags so I knew how many meals I had. I would defront and heat it up and put it straight into their little mouths, they didnt complain. (I tasted it once just to see if it was the right temp, yuk, stuck it on my wrist after that).

My cooking has that effect Lily - it's not the sort of thing you want to try twice!

dont blame you there ang, but my kids thrived on it, better than all that stuff in jars, with goodness knows what added to it. Well if you have babies its a lot cheaper too.

I did poison my family on rice that I froze once, I dont do that anymore, I was fine, I didnt have any.

Lamb stew, maybe it was the lamb but we had that for a dinner and I made a stew with what was left and froze it. I had made the rice on another day and froze it. The dinner didnt make us poorly so I guessed it was the rice.

I bet it was the lamb as I cant see it being the rice. Never mind though, hope your babies are still doing well.

I'm rubbish at cooking but i'm a dab hand with a "ding" [:D]
Any decent meals get cooked by hubby or 14 year old daughter.

Apparently food poisoning from rice is very common - if you don't heat it to the correct temperature it can be quite dodgy.
