Thanks, think I will be more walking than running, but am practising on my treadmill. I decided to do race for life this year because my cousin died in April and wanted to do something for her as she had cancer twice 12 years apart. I also am doing it because my husband had cancer (before I met him) and he survived it.

I'm sorry to hear about your cousin Wonder.

I'm doing it in memory of my dad and my uncle. Prepare to feel emotional before the race as they usually have a minutes silence.

Sorry to hear about your cousin Wonder. Good luck with the run.

I'm really struggling at the moment as well. I seem to have a homing pound - I lose it one week and it comes back the next!

Same here. I don't drink, so it's not alcohol, it's too much of the wrong food and not enough exercise.

I've set myself a target - when I get back from holiday I'm going to aim to lose a stone before Dave's birthday in September!

I wanted to lose at least 9lb before my birthday but will settle for 7lb. Could do it if I force myself. Its 7 weeks time. Just got to think positive and stop eating rubbish.

Well done Ladyh, that's great.

I've struggled today, but hopefully I might lose something when I get on the scales tomorrow morning!
