They're the only pounds I've ever been able to keep!!!

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Hi,

Haven't been around for a while after having my IVA approved end of April.

I'm getting married in 3 weeks (OMG) and have managed to lose 18 pounds since January. I think the stress of going through the IVA process did it!!

Thanks everyone.

And my partner has lost nearly a stone too!!

Easy if you stop drinking a bottle of wine a night and cut out takeaways (pretty easy to do now I'm in the IVA - can't afford it!).

I don't think there's much chance of me getting a wedding ring Kerri - Dave has told me to tell you he's not completely mad!

Hi everyone

Well, it seems you are all doing well on this diet thang!!!! To all of you who have lost weight, well done and keep it going! To those who have yet to lose, don't worry - stick to the program and before you know it, the weight will come off!

To Dave and Skippy, both of you really crack me up - I have never been able to keep ANY pounds!!! Every morning I wake up and another pound or so has gone missing and I spend half the morning wandering around the house wondering where I mislaid them!!!!

Here's an idea for you all. Instead of paying weightwatchers, slimmers world or such like, why not set up a fat club for here. We did one at work two years ago. We paid 30 quid each and set a period of 4 months. We all got weighed at the start and paid our money, then we had a weighing party at the end. Whoever had lost biggest % of their original weight took the money.

I found the thought of walking away with money was a great motivator and lost 26lb in 16 weeks. Sadly, boohoo, I came second. Still, in the two years I have only put 6lb back on so it was well worth it.

Hi just checking in well to be honest have stuffed my face, think its just the fact of a long weekend[well thats my story and im sticking to it]the weather is so miserable and when its like this it makes me really miserable, and when i feel down i eat wish i could be like others when im stressed and not feel hungrey but sadly i only dont eat when im happy.Well that isnt happening much in the last few months,so back to the grinestone tomorrows another day.
Hope you are all doing better than me.

I'm having the same problem Tracy! I've stuffed my face all weekend and I haven't got the motivation of my weigh in as there is no WW meeting this week due to bank holiday, and there are no other meetings convenient for me. Oh well, I'd better get back on it tomorrow! My excuse for the comfort eating is having a bad weekend - we went to see Meatloaf at Wembley on Friday and left before the end as the band were so loud they drowned Meatloaf out (I'd been looking forward to it since before Christmas), I lost my watch and we went to the coast and the weather was lousy!
