Wouldnt it be good if weight watchers fees could be added into an i/e. I was gutted as I had to stop attending as couldnt afford the subscription. On the good side We've just started a weight loss competition at work at £1 a week and however loses the biggest percentage gains the money !!!! So hopefully that will just help to spure me on instead :)

Hopefully you can manage to lose some weight - we have had several threads on here over the years and everyone will spur you on!#

I take there is no chance of you using money from some of your allowances to pay for it? Is Slimming World any cheaper?

The money we manage to pull back on things, i like to use as treats for the whole family. I'd feel selfish just using it on myself. I'm one of the lucky ones though with a very helpful and supportive hubby and with the club at work and the support on here that will be another succesful journey i'm begining :)

Keep going Struzzo - I'm sure some of our other posters will be joining the thread and it does tend to be one of the more popular ones and you'd be amazed how much weight loss there has been over the years!

Hi Struzzo - what a good idea to have a weight loss competition at work. I'd be up for that at my work, but don't think anyone would join in.

I lost a bit of weight last year on the Cambridge diet, but didn't stick to it. I need to lose weight and am trying my best with smaller portions of healthy food and increased exercise.

Not easy, I have IBS and cannot eat certain foods, but hey ho if we all stick together I'm sure we can do it.

Don't worry struzzo. You're not on your own. I have been on a diet for the last 18 years.
Trying to lose some again now but just by the old fashioned way of eating sensibly and moving more. I, at the moment have lost the will to count any more points or measure any more food!
I also at the moment have not lost any weight! So, all in all I am doing pretty good so far lol!

We'll get there though. We shall give eachother a kick up the backside when needed. ;) x

I've been on more diets than you can shake a stick at! I've done the Cambridge twice and the Atkins twice plus the normal cutting down.

In the end I had to cheat!

I'm a typical yo yo dieter. When I'm good I'm very very good and when I'm bad, well I can gain weight so fast!

Hope your workplace spurs you on. x

I was the same Lesley - it was all or nothing and I would binge eat when I wasn't dieting.

Morning Struzzo.
I am Weight Watchers through and through and even though I am not completely following it now it is embedded in my brain. I did do Slimming World for a while but just couldn't get my head around the 'eating as much as you want' thing. I felt too guilty!!

As for being naughty, it has to be done or you begin to resent the diet. When I was following it religiously I was always super good throughout the week but had Saturday as my totally naughty day. I indulged in a few drinkies and shovelled burgers or pizza down my neck then was back to normal on the Sunday!!
You will get there as will we all. Slowly, slowly catchy monkey :) x

I go to Slimming World and have lost 17.5lb so far. Weigh-in is tonight so hopefully I will have lost some more.

Have to say, I think WW and SW are around the same price per week £4.95 for SW). x
Its now time to start living and to make some some wonderful memories!

WW is now £5.95 per week Flow. In the immortal words of Peter Kay "Slimming World, like Weight Watchers but £1 cheaper!

I've been going to WW but I haven't done very well so I'll be restarting when I'm back from holiday so I'll need all the motivation you can give me! Although I'm going each week I'm still following the old plan. I need the motivation of being weighed but I can't afford to replace all my stuff.
