I lost 2st on Slimming World but I got so bored with it that I gave it up! I find Weight Watchers more flexible, and I've got their points scales - you put the plate on them, type in the food, put the food on the plate and press the points button and it calculates it for you! It makes it so easy!

[:D]Well done Skippy!! I definitely find that weight watchers is the easiest to follow.I bought the books a few yrs ago and learnt the points values off by heart. So i do my very best to stick to 20-22 points a day,but i do sometimes get a bit sidetracked!!...I appear to have the same problem as Julie-i.e OH bringing home treats all the time!!! xx
please visit my blog http://tori.blogs.iva.co.uk/ a second chance..

I've had a really bad week so far - I haven't felt well and I've not really fancied healthy food, so I've been eating plenty of the wrong things! I haven't done any exercise either because of my back and neck, so I don't think next week will be very good!

The main thing at the moment is to get your health sorted Skip. Then you can think about your weight. And with Christmas coming up...............!!!!!!![:D][:D]

I'm not too bad at Christmas - I don't like mince pies, Christmas pudding or Christmas cake, but chocolate yule log is a different matter!

I am getting really depressed about my weight. A couple of years ago, i was so stressed and lost all my appetite and was just uner 8st, I started on an antidepressant that also increases the appetite and now I cannot stop eating, I have put over 2st on now and its getting me down [:(]

If I try and diet, I just feel so ill and headachy and faint [:I] and I just love food, I love all the Christmas stuff!

I tell you what depresses me....when hubby stuffs his face all week, then gets on the scales nand has lost 2lb [}:)] How come men lose weight so easy....grrrr He doesn't need to lose any really.

Us women always seem to have issues about our weight - many years ago, I was so stressed and living on my nerves I lost too much weight and struggled to put some on. Since I've found happiness [:I] it goes on so easy.

I'm now 12st 12lb - want to get down to 10st 5lb at least...I'm 5ft 6.

Jane - I sympathise with you, but don't make yourself ill - was under 8st too thin for you??

Yes, I was too thin,I think, I am 5ft 3in. I had gone to the docs and she wanted to take my blood pressure so I took my coat off and she then insisted on weighing me and realised I had lost a lot of weight, I used to about 9st 6, and she gave me a lecture on osteoporosis and to eat more, including dairy products, as I am getting older, 39! I was also found to be severely anaemic, I took iron and B12 tablets for months but did not get any better so she decided I needed injections for life as I cannot absorb B12 from food. So I do think all the debt stress and I was drinking too much contributed to my weight loss and I made myself ill, I think. I don't want to get to that stage again, I had a terrible headache every day, I was so breathless, I could not even walk upstairs, I looked terrible too. I would like to get to about 9st 6 if I can, but I know it will be hard work [:I]

Oh Jane, I'm glad you're GP noticed and you got back on the right track. Are you still getting the headaches or is it only when you try to diet? Could be withdrawals if you're cutting out certain foods??

I had major bowel problems about 4 yrs ago and had put on 4st at my heaviest - I switched to decaff coffee and the headaches were awful for about a week. I also can't drink milk so have regular blood tests, calcium level in my liver is low. Gosh feel like I'm falling apart at 40 [:D]

We'll all try and shape up together eh? [:)]

I don't believe in these faddy diets, they only work if you stay on them for life and who wants to drink shakes for ever? [:D] Beside I have IBS and they upset my stomach no end, I know I should cut down on the butter, biscuits and cheese and eat smaller portions and exercise more[:)]

Do you drink soya milk Julie? I stopped drinking normal milk a couple of years ago and have felt much better. I still have some things with milk in them (cakes, chocolate etc!) but if I have too much I feel bloated again.

The one thing I really, really, really miss is Baileys!!!

Ahhhh Baileys...them were the days! I tried soya milk but didn't like it so just do without. Drink my decaf coffee black no sugar!

I can have the odd yogurt but have to watch - milk makes me break out in clusters of mouther ulcers, I used to get 8 at one time that lasted 3 weeks or more...Ouch.

I like my food too much to go on a faddy diet - the biggest thing for me is my portion sizes. I've always eaten healthy just too much of it [:D]

I have skimmed milk with my decaff.

Portion control doesn't exist with me, hence my size and I have to confess that I don't do a great deal of healthy eating either!

However, I have done the shakes etc., and lost loads of weight - but then put it all back on, and then some!
