Hi All

I am now in an IVA 3 months but just wondering if anyone has got any of the following types of letters from Creditors, first type;

From Barlcay Card:

Our records show that your account is still past due. As we are committed to working with you, we would like to help you to clear your arrears and reduce your balance by offering you the following opportunity:

Make a payment of £236 and we will credit your account with £118.

to take advantage of this offer, please call our dedicated free phone number above and we can take a debit card payment from you over the phone.

Thank you for your attention and look forward to hearing from you.

etc.

This other one is really strange;

From Tower Investigations Ltd.

Dear

We act on behalf of a client and would be obliged if could telephone us on FREEPHONE 0800 877 8764 in order to assist our enquiry.

etc.

The latter one is really strange who are Tower Invesgations and I daren't call that number! I'm too nervous.

Has anyone out there got any letters like this? I am very surprised with Barclay Card in having sent this as they were one of my main voters for IVA

Hi Maz

Just ignore the letters and pass them to your IP, mostly these letters are computer generated from "normal" creditors. However the one from Tower, who do they say they are acting on behalf of?

Hi
As all your debts were disclosed in your IVA you have nothing to worry about.
The news of the IVA will filter through to th various companies,just pass the letters onto your IP and inform the companies about your IVA.

Hi Storm and Ang

The thing is The Tower Investigations ltd do not say who the client is which makes me suspicious. i dont have any credit with Lloyds banks unless it is Black Horse finance. I have googled the website and this is what they offer;

are able to provide a comprehensive range of specialized professional services including :-

Status Reporting
Background Checks.
Tracing Missing Persons
Address Verification (Bulk)
Observation & Surveillance
International Geneologists
Pre-Employment Checks
Witness Statements
Intellectual Property Rights (Investigations of Trade Marks & Patents)

I can't understand what this has to do with debts? I will send these letters off to my IP maybe they can deal with them!

Thanks

Maz

Don't worry Maz - the other thing it could be is you may be a neighbour of somebody they are trying to trace or have the same surname etc etc.

We use a company who use this tactic to try and locate goneaways.
