Just google problems with welcome finance for better sites to get info from as this one really isnt the right place.

If anyone who has"jumped"onto the debt avoidance theme here, you should understand that being trapped in a sitution with a company like welcome will lead you to try anything. How can you deal fairly with a firm who dont return calls, pester you at work, add charges willy nilly, lose contracts etc etc etc. The list goes on and on.
Welcome do not play by the rules and take advantage of those with tarnished credit ratings. I got caught up with them in their early days and believe me it was a nightmare, and I kept my payments up to date(and yet they still charged extras!!!).

I know we dont condone debt avoidance but we could perhaps be a little less judgmental when someone talks about companies losing credit agreements.

Thanks Paul. I've never avoided any debts I owe and I've been lucky not to owe many debts. Those that I have been in have all been paid off. I'm one of those people who believe in playing fair. However, I have had nothing but problems with WF. As I mentioned they tried to take me to Court for monies which I didn't believe I owed them and when I counterclaimed them in Court they agreed that the monies I believed I owed them was the correct amount, which I've been paying them every month since the Tomlin Order came into affect in April 2009. They reckoned that I owed them in excess of £3,000 whereas when I got my evidence together I actually only owed them £613.20. It was all the extra charges that they put on the account when I hadn't even missed one payment. I hope you can understand therefore why I'm pretty miffed that they are still blacklisting me every month (and have been since 2007!!) for non payment, my credit report states that I owe them in excess of £1500 when in fact i only owe them (as at 24.11.09) £239.40, they have made no mention of the Tomlin Order/new payment on my credit report and to top it all they sent me a letter confirming they were going to repay me my PPI in the sum of £1,780 and now they're saying that they've decided not to.

Welcome finance stink !!!!!

I have been in an iva over 3 years and still get letters from them saying i have missed payments..

I also note that all my creditors who are in my IVA have posted default on my credit file except WELCOME FINANCE.

I can see a problem when my IVA finishes as a default stays on for 6 years so they will all go when my iva finishes EXCEPT WELCOME FINANCE....

I have no idea what to do about this and have had previous problems with experian etc where i had a ccj which i knew nothing about posted on my credit file 6 months after my IVA had started and that took 6 months to be removed.
