Hi there, I am new to this but with Payplan and found them very good with impartial advice so I would do what Nick from Payplan suggests and contact him, I have to say they have been brilliant with me. They may be able to help out now!

I have just received this email from PayPlan. Have a look at the amounts and see if you can spot the difference. The actual amount that we pay is £308.88

Thank you for amending your budget on Justabank.

According to the changes your surplus amount is now £308.54. Can you please confirm if that is the correct amount so that I can update your file and send revised offers to all your creditors? Since it is a decrease your creditors may be inclined to reject the new payment arrangement, therefore, if possible, it would be advisable to at least maintain the same payment amount of £308.54.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to let us know.

I also lodged a complaint and was informed that a form which I have to fill in will be sent. Nothing has arrived except a letter informing me that they are looking at my complaint. How the hell can they when they haven't got a clue what the complaint is about.

Seems a bit odd.

I would email Nick directly rather than going through Payplan plus (the new name for Justabank)to see if he can help you.

Hi P - getting in touch with Nick direct will help resolve your issues quicker than going through their online process (which seems as if it has a few glitches at the moment). Let us know how you get on x

Have to say that I have used the new system recently and had a few concerns, phoned my case manager and they were sorted immediately.

Hopefully Nick can pick this one up tomorrow.

P, if you would like me to look into your case directly then please email me and I will.
May I ask what you concerns with Payplanplan were Kallis?

It was just a general query as I didn't understand something on there but my case officer explained it to me so I was quite happy.

It just takes a bit of getting used to after using the original Justabank. Other than that it's fine.

Had a reply from PayPlan, amazing reading though. The complaint was 'resolved' by taking the system notes and the information gathered from the 'advisor'. As they didn't record the call and did not contact me I fail to understand how they can resolve this. However I do have all the info to proceed much, much further with this.

Hi P out of interest who reviewed your case when you complained? Don't out a name on here don't want them getting alot of emails or calls but initials would be ok. Have explained with a surplus like that why an IVA is not suitable? Is there too much equity? Have you tried to speak to any other firms re IVA? I have had to complain more than once to payplan & whilst they haven't found in favour of me always they have provided a rationale why the decision was made.

Hi there P

As Kallis has mentioned, if you feel that you are doing a DMP when an IVA would be a better solution for you, it really is very easy to change. I would urge you to speak to advisors outside of payplan. Then you will be able to compare and weigh up the advice you receive. If you do decide that an IVA is possible then go ahead with the application. Once the IVA is accepted you simply stop making your DMP payments. No fuss.

The complaint was 'taken' by my consultant @ PayPlan, then it was passed to another company(so it says) for review. Apparently it's their compliance dept. No further questions asked from me and I've spoken to other companies about the IVA and all said that it would have been possible and they would have carried out my instructions and not taken decisions based on their assumptions as PayPlan did. I have already lodged a complaint with the OfT and am looking at pursuing additional options against PayPlan. Now that I have a reply I black and white with a 'smoking gun' from PayPlan, I think that they made a big mistake and are trying to do some covering up, looks like the consultant that began our case was't trained correctly and made some bad calls. also I sent a 'contact me' question to one of the people on the forum, would be nice to get a reply.

Who did you send the message to? It may be that they haven't received it.

Melanie Giles, I used the 'Contact Us' form on her page, kind of hoped for a reply.
