If only these organisations could realise as I know IP's do that there is some poor soul at the end of it all being squeezed like a tube of toothpaste, unable to sleep, rest, relax or think straight. Even though they are doing everything in their power to pay back as much as possible.

Thanks for the reply people.
Found out the reason for rejection from Northern Rock (one of main creditors). They want me to lower my current TV package and I was advised for medical reasons to start exercising. I chose to return to golf as I was good when I had to stop. So I tried to add this to my IVA as its a monthly expence. They have rejected this and the reason. Wether at the meeting they are telling them the seriousness of the predicament I'm in I don't know. But now I have to bear another week of no sleep whilst the meeting is adjourned. I have told my IP that I will make the adjustments to my IE if required. There only luxury items at the end of the day. Surely someone acting in my behalf could have suggested this to them in the first place.

I am afraid that I would not have put golf subscriptions down - even though you have a good reason for needing to excercise. A brisk daily walk, a couple of times a day, would do just as good and is free! I have to say that I am quite suprised your IP would have put this sort of expenditure forward, and am sure that when you trim this out you will get the result you desire. Good luck!

I dont think many would have let golf go down on an expenditure as its not essential.

I know its hard, I have been where you are, when the blackness is thick, you just cant see a way through it, but there is an answer to every problem. Please try to rest and say to yourself, its out of my hands now, I have done all I can. You have.

Good luck lowe thinking of you

I have to agree I'm afraid - in the context of IVAs and bankruptcy there are a few things that are quite sensitive areas of expenditure and golf is one of them. I share Mels surprise that this was put into the Income and expenditure but, like her, feel that if this item is dropped you will probably get your deal.
