Have you tried anywhere yet Tony? I am with Co-op (cashminder account). They are very IVA friendly. Also try Nat West, Nationwide and Yorkshire Bank - make sure they are not affiliated to any of your creditors though.

Depends on your IVA creditors - but Co-op /Barclays/Natwest all offer basic accounts - another one is Yorkshire Building Society - most of these you can ring and they give you a decision within a few days

There is no limit on how many you can have - so perhaps try a few at a time

Have you tried to get an account with the bank in your own name? If they aren't helpful, I believe the co-op are iva friendly.

Co-op are well recommemded - you have to apply on the phone or in branch though for a cashminder account.

You can also look at Barclays, Natwest or Lloyds - I believe they do basic accounts as well.

If you cannot get a bank account I am sure that some of the prepaid credit cards will accept a BACS style monthly payment onto them. No idea of costs etc but its an option if you cannot get an account.

My co op account is great,as it does all the things I want and costs nothing to run!!!

A paid for account should be a last resort in my opinion - try everything else before doing that.
