Hello I have just made my 3 payment into my iva which me and my husband have done together since this my husband car has broken down 3 times which is getting financially annoying now. He needs it for work as he travels up and down the motorway everyday. My question is can we get a newer car on finance now we are in a iva or what do people do for cars? We have always had loans or finance
I doubt you will get finance - does your husband have an IVA and is he financially linked to you - if not he could always try or a relative or friend could finance one for you. Otherwise just get a cheap runaround from Ebay. Ask for a payment break.

You will not get affordable finance on a car while in the IVA and, if you find a company willing to entertain you, you will need to make a strong case to your IP and get his / her agreement.
