Not every IP builds in a buffer - most of us actually encourage our clients to be honest about their expenditure and present true fact. But what silly times we live in - and let's see how many IVAs actually fail in 2008 due to unreaslistic demands by creditors. The signs are already out there!

thanks for your comments. a recent study of IVA's from our own MIS data we have shows that the failure rate of iva's where the dividend is more than 40p in the £ the breakage rates accelerate. it was this data we provided our clients helped fend off an approach by TIX who pride themselves on driving up dividends!? or do they just drive up breakage rates. it will be interesting to see the results. it's just a shame they are ruining peoples lives in the process.

as a point of note the food and household figures my team uses are based on my own expenditure for my family (good lady, 10 year old and toddler)we spend on average £10 per day of food and household. i instruct my team to allow £150 for the first person and £100 thereafter for each person in the household. you will note this is more than i spend. however in my previous life i worked as a chef. so i don't expect people to be as creative as me.

Hi
Your allowances give a coule with three children £550 per month compared to a max of £520 under CCCS guidlines but an average of £426.
A huge difference of £124 compared to the average.

Hi there

This is a great example of a creditor who looks sensibly at each proposal and is not just out to get an increase for the sake of getting an increase - and relies upon out of date and unrealistic expenditure matrices.
