Your IP would probably try to allow you time to find new employment. I believe the norm is to allow you to miss up to 3 payments before failing your IVA(not in anyones best interests),however these payments need to be made up when you are back in work.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

Would you be entitled to receive any redundancy pay? If so, this ought to be used to compensate your loss of earnings whilst you look for a new job, but if new employment had not been found by the time the monies had been used up then you might need to formally request a short payment break.
