If I were to move out of my current accommodation with a member of my family where I pay £350.00 a month rent inclusive of gas, electricity and phone to rent at a friends house would there be a problem? We haven't discussed rent as yet, just need to know what my options are. I would need to also pay a contribution towards the council tax which I am not doing where I am currently living. Im not really doing this out of choice. I know I am due a payrise of about £500.

Hi Maizie,

Is this higher than the amount you are paying currently? If you moving does not change the monthly contribution you are making towards your IVA I dont see why this would be a problem. I would contact your I.P and double check that it is ok with them.

I doubt the rent wouldn't be any different, the only difference would be the extra amount for council tax but like I said I think I will be getting a £500 payrise.

Are you in an IVA Maizie? If so, as long as you could manage to keep paying the payments then there should not be a problem.
