You get a montly allowance for car maintenance. But you need to be realistic about it. Mine is circa £30 (this includes tax) and it isnt enough, so I am funding it from other areas of my budget unfortunately. I will review this with my IP at my yearly I&E review, as I have had a payrise and this is easing the situation somewhat. Car tax alone is £235.

Ouch! That's a lot of car tax.

Ours is £180 (or thereabouts).

Car tax should have a separate allowance and should not have to be funded from your car maintenance budget.

You are quite correct. Apologies I have checked my documentation.

Mine is 20 for tax and 20 for maintenance.

I will add that I did agree to my I&E so by no means am I criticising. I am 100% happy with my IVA, but it is still a learning process.

I can 100% recommend Melanie's team headbanger. My IP is Susan. (Although on the register it says Melanie... always wondered about that!)

Thanks Melanie. I do hope you are the bizz. Many fine words are said about you. Starting to dig out paperwork to get correct info for I & E details. Rang morgage Co to get this years statement as I can't find it.
