Not that I would but wouldn't they just demand payment if it was cancelled? I wonder if they've lost it!

Yes - but it would make them sweat a bit! The cheque may have been lost either in the post, or in their office, so you do need to find out - if it has entered into the wrong hands, your Mum's money could be at risk.

They have received it, I got a letter confirming receipt before xmas. I'll give them a ring tomoz.
