ok i posted earlier re getting my completion certificate today . i am still on insolvency register, but iva had last payment 30th novemeber so im sure they will be advising them also .
im with experian and it shows the iva on there althou my credit rating is fair .
do i just email over copy of my certificate to experian , equifax and credit call so its removed from their end or do i want for the lovely max recovery , who bought most of my debt , to clear records.
there doesnt seem to be enough information for thoses at the end as what to do and im really unsure.
any help would be gratefully recieved.
Get hold of a copy of your record from all three agencies. If there are any defaults added after the date of IVA acceptance then contact those creditors enclosing a copy of your completion letter and tell them to remove those defaults.

Well you need to contact your IP, they are the ones who need to update the Insolvency Service regarding your completion.
In respect of your credit file, credit reference agencies should receive an automatic update on your completion so you should check the three reporting agencies and if there is anything negative on there you can forward your certificate to the relevant agencies so they can manually update your file.
It also does not hurt to forward a copy to old creditors as well.
When we completed ours I sent copies of the certificate to all creditors, and all three credit reference agencies - they marked our record with a notice of correction.
The IVA will stay on your credit file for 6 years from the date it was approved.
Any defaults on your records should be no later than the start date of your IVA - if they have been recorded late then write those creditors requesting they make amendments - give them 28 days to do so then write again and where necessary say that you will report them.
You will disappear off the insolvency register as soon they receive notification from your IP - this is normally pretty quick.

Hope you get it all cleared up soon Molly so you really can put it all behind you. Chase up your IP if you need to to get it finalised.
