Hi Lighton - sorry about delay, but I just got back from the Frugal Friends meeting in Bradford!

The question is really one for your own IP to be honest. One the one hand your disposable income is further reduced, and you have already suffered on variation, on the other hand you still have money which could be offered to creditors on an ongoing basis. I would try and get your IP to put forward a variation to creditors, and if this is turned down then consider whether bankruptcy is not a better option.

Thank you Melanie. My partner is waiting to hear on a job ,it looks promising .Should hear next week.I start part time in september as long as we can arrange specialist childcare so fingers crossed all will work out.My mum has suggested that she may be willing to settle this for me earlier , how would i go about this. How much would we need to pay to finalise this.oRGINAL DEBT WAS 40 GRAND COMBINED AND WE HAVE SO FAR PAID in around £9500 we have 23 months left of iva

Do you think bankruptcy would be a better route. We would be able to pay the 250 a month but not a further 194 on top

Do you have any assets which would be at risk under bankruptcy proceedings?
