Well give the variation a go and it if does not work then you know that bankruptcy is perhaps the next best option.

when you say variation do you mean ask if the hp payment i was paying can be removed from iva because we can no longer afford that as well as exsisting payment.sORRY TO BE A PAIN BUT I JUST WANT TO GET IT STRAIGHT BEFORE I RING MY SUPERVISOR TOMORROW.

I assume that you had a HP agreement which has now ended but you cannot afford to make the increased payments? If so, just tell your supervisor that this is the case and see what they can recommend.

Yes it ends this month we havnt been paying it since my partner lost his job as we took a policy out with the hp and it has covered payments up til now.Just a bit concerned that we will have to start paying that into iva .We should be able to continue paying the £250 a month .But until we get back on our feet it wont be possible to start paying in hp payments.Do i ask my supervisor to do a variation ,and ask if we can have this part of the proposal removed for now until we are more financially stable

I told them the other day that i didnt think we could pay it ,when they mentioned it they said not to worry at the moment but just letting me know it still included.I think they have given me a reduced payment for a bit because they said i only have to pay 200 a month , because my supervisor can decide at his own discretion whether to reduce payments by 15% or something until we get back on our feet

How much was the dividend you originally offered to creditors?

im not sure i will have to dig it out.For the first 17 months it was 350 a month then for the last 20 months it has been 250 a month from august it was asked if we would pay 194 from hp payments into it for last 23 installments if this helps i think we have paid in around 11000 pound so far.Im going to see if i can find it.

im not sure if this is right the estimated dividend to unsecured creditors says 40.97(i think this is pence per pound). originally it was expected outcome was 25,656 , that changed to 21,356 in jan 2007 when we had a variation.original total joint debt was 41,107

In june 2007 the total further contributions were 14. 156 left to pay in , this included the hp on bike that is due in sept,we havnt nt paid this bike hp for 6 months since my partner has ben out of work it has been covered by insurance.But we are due to start paying it, which is impossible at moment, as he is out of work.Even if he does get tis job i dont know if we will be able to afford the extra each month, as our outgoings are so much more with food and fuel etc.I dont know what to do for best;
1)ask for a variation and try and get the hp payments taken off original proposal.(if this is possible .Then carry on paying 250-300 a monthfor next 23 months.which we should be able to manage.
2) see what final settlememnt they will except.
3)bankruptcy which i really dont want to do when we are alredy 37 months into iva.

Any advice would be much appreciated .
