Hiya,i am in about 9 grands worth of debt.about 6 differant people that i owe the money too.i have moved from place to place the last year and they are trying to catch me,i am so scared as what to do.i dont own any property and at moment living in differant friends houses what should i do?i didnt mean to get in this much mess.what will happen to me?
As your debts are quite low, I would make some form of conscious effort to try and agree affordable payments with your creditors. It is a worry to not know when these companies might catch up with you, and it is far better to address the issue directly.
If you don't feel up to dealing with this yourself, you could approach a DMP company to assist, or declare yourself bankrupt to put this matter behind you once and for all - although that would be quite extreme given the level of your debts.
Let me say I understand where you are comng from but trust me, and especially more experienced users of this site, when we say that things aren't as bad as they first appear. You may be lucky enough to have caught this fairly early and if you work out what you have spare after all essential outgoings and then contact a few experts who can give you sound advice. Hi there, you need to face this head on, youre not in trouble by having debt, there is an answer to every problem. You need to get everything together and phone or write to the companies concerned, start making an affordable plan to return something, even a tiny amount every week/month will make you feel tons better. There are thousands of people living and breathing but not able to sleep with debt. Its a really scary and dark place to be.
Take hold of the situation and go on the attack, running away will never help you. I know its really hard and its very hard to know where to start but you can do this.
