Waiting for an invoice from a supplier which i am not goin to be able to pay, first time i will have misssed a payment in my life, Life really sucks at the moment.
I may be down but i am not out.
If i listened to my Mom and Dad i would not be in the mess i am in now.

Hi Chas.
This is the most stressful part of the process, getting started. Your phone call tomorrow will be absolutely fine. They will most likely go through with you exactly what debts you owe, to whom and how much approx. They will probably go through your income and expenditure with you etc.
You will most likely need a face to face meeting with them further on down the line, but seriously, easier said than done but please try not to worry about it, they will understand and will help you every step of the way.

I was in a similar position this year is the first time I've owed suppliers and I HATE it. Fortunately I've been a very good payer in the past, and always paid on time, this has stood me in good stead in my business, I've also been honest with all the suppliers and they have appreciated this, it might help, I've never avoided them in fact I've called them before they call me. I was just really really honest, you'll be surprised how many small businesses are struggling to pay invoices at the moment, as long as you propose a payment plan they'll probably be fine. Hope this helps, I was honestly surprised at how accomodating they were and all of them said they appreciated my honesty and contact

This is your first call Chas and may be a bit of a long one but it is to sort everything out. McCambridge Duffy are an excellent company so you should have no worries. If you're self employed then you will have to have a face to face meeting but they're nothing to worry about.

They will let you know everything they need from you when you speak to them.

Bit emotional this week with back problem and medical on wednesday so will probably be thinking my IVA app will fail all this week![:(]

It's a statutory requirement but I've no idea why.

It is quite right to be a requirement in my opinion and are you saying that there is not to be a face to face meeting for your case Chas, or is the telephone meeting simply the first stage of the process?

Hi all, thanx for your replies, just the unknown part of it i think, just dont know what is goin to happen next.
Melanie i have been told this is a meeting to discuss, i think about the iva or other alternatives, not sure.I have gone through my ins and outs with them last week and was told what i would be paying, and what they expect my turnover to be, to make this happen. I dont mind a face to face or showing all my accounts if needed has i have been honest all my life, not got me anywhere though.
I will post after our meeting tonight to see if there is anythink i have missed.
If i listened to my Mom and Dad i would not be in the mess i am in now.

Good Luck chas for the call. Just be honest and don't hide anything from them. It will be good for long term benefits. :)

McCambridge are top notch - I'm with them, and they have been nothing short of excellent!
