I'm like you Lesley, I'm hopeless at taking medication! When I get a headache I only take tablets when I can't bear it any more.

You're braver than me having the swine flu jab Jan - there's no way I'll be having that!

It didn't hurt at the time - my arm was just aching a lot during today.

You wouldn't have liked the ones we had for Egypt - a couple in both arms!

It's never bothered me at all.

It's not the needle (although I don't like them), it's what they're injecting into me!

Having seen how it has affected people I work with, plus living with someone with chronic heart and lung disease, even though he has had the jab, I decided it was probably better if I did the prevention rather than the cure.

That's a good point Jan, I hadn't thought of that. I definitely won't be having it, and if I am unfortunate enough to get it I won't be taking Tamiflu - the side effects sound worse than the flu!

I wouldn't be taking that either. It made a colleague of mine extremely ill.

I normally get every side effect going so there wouldn't be a lot of point in me taking it! If I have to take tablets I make Dave read the side effects (I don't want to give myself ideas!) and tell me if he thinks there's something wrong!

I rarely look at the side effects.

For example, I used to suffer from terrible swelling in the ankles, and that was caused by the one lot of tablets I used to have to take. Since I've stopped taking them, I have ankles again!

One of the other ones I take gives me a bit of a cough or keep having to clear my throat.

I put up with them as they keep my blood pressure down and the side effects are preferable to the possibility of having a stroke.

I don't blame you Jan, you do have to weigh up the pros and cons. Glad you've got your ankles back again though!

I slept longer last night as finally this cold is coming out of me! I'm using tissues for England now as before my sinus was so sore but now I feel better! What a horrible subject so early, appologies x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Glad you're feeling better and glad you had more sleep as well.

My arm is still killing me from my swine flu jab!
