We intend to save regularly and only buy what we can afford or save up for. Hopefully a new car and a nice holiday! Only 2 and a half years left!! I can't wait!

By the way, what happened to your heart?

Having had my F&F recently accepted ... and so no more IVA payments ... and I don't owe anything to anyone ... I am like Pixie in that my intention now is to save as much as I can to get some kind of finacial 'security blanket' behind me. I have become very mean since addressing my debt situation and only spend my hard earned money if I REALLY need to ... although I have to admit to just having booked a weekend coach trip to see the Edingburgh Tatoo next month.

Mark and Elldina ... welcome to Forum.

I'll be there![8D]

I am sure global warming will have reached us by then and we will be basking in Mediterranean temperatures!

Haven't seen a forecast, so I hope you are right. I could do with being able to sit out in the garden without freezing!

Two months after our IVA ends my husband will be 65 and qualify for his pension. As he is not working now because of ill health we will not only be better off because of no IVA payment, we will also have the pension. Easily over £1000 a month more to spend than we have now. Only three years to go and we can't wait.
Big holiday? New car? Pressies for grandkids. Never get in debt again!!!
Best thing for me is no more overtime!!!

I took a baby naming ceremony yesterday and the family had bought a really nice marquee from "Homebase" in case it rained ... it was only £70 and was quite big ... I thought I might get one ... but then I would have to hold a party!
