It's to shop around, speak to several and go with the one you feel most comfortable with. You are going to be dealing with them for a number of years so you have to be sure. Have a look through this forum several companies have people who post, also check the reviews as well before making your shortlist to telephone.
Most IVA companies will offer free advice and you can then decide what is the best option for you. The advice should not differ much but if in doubt try another company for a second opinion. If you self employed ensure that you speak to an advisor experienced in such cases as some firms do not act for the self employed.
One that listens, does not try and twist your figures to fit what they want to your budget to be. Please dont rush into making a decision it needs to be thought about and chewed over.
If I was to do my IVA time again and readsing on here Melanie Giles , Michael Popples and size 5 would be people I would contact and then take it from there of who I was the happiest with.
