Our Iva was repaid 4/6/15 but completion certificate wasn’t issued until 04/2/16. We can’t get a mortgage until 2019 as per date of certificate but we finished payment in 2015 as per contract? We completed our five years then?

The clock starts ticking from the start date of the IVA. If the IVA started in 2010, it should be long gone from your records. Have a read here: https://www.iva.co.uk/what-does-an-iva- ... dit-record then go check everything is clear.

I would also suggest a chat with Ryan and / or Shaun, who are both whole of market brokers with experience of dealing with applicants who have an IVA in their past.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Hi Pam,
very frustrating.
As long as you are out of the iva & it was registered at least 6 years ago, then High Street mortgage is available from some, but not all lenders.
Happy to help if you need more info.
