from signing the IVA forms and sending them back, when do they contact the creditors. Is it done straight away?

Hello Lorraine,

Thanks for the post and welcome to the forum.

Usually creditors receive authorisation letters informing them about your iva as soon as you sign the forms and return relevant paperwork (copy if id, bank statements, cc statements, etc)

Although creditors are usually infomred by the proposer prior to the forms being signed the formal notice is sent through letters of authority stating that the IP is acting on your behalf.
