davram i feel like that every day- every morning, i dread the postman coming, im not in a iva, but i have a lot of debt, i read a post melanie giles wrote advising about taking a lodger in and i have a lodger here who works shifts, so its working out ok ish! i dont like sharing my house but i have no choice, if she moves out then im finished, i have a good job, great people to work with but the orders are slowing down and theres talk of redundancy, im living on my nerves at the mo, this site is great, i come on most nights just to read the posts and know im not on my own going through this
Try not to worry about what might happen - Imstruggling. I know it is easier said than done, but if the worst comes to the worst there will be solutions for you to look at, and you have a great bunch of friends on the forum to converse with if you need to.
I'm sorry to hear you're having such a rotten time Imstruggling. Have you spoken to an IP to see what solutions there are for your debts? There is a way forward, so for the sake of your health you need to seek help.
hi melanie- i read your posts and they are so helpful, skippy, ive read your blog, and your posts, your always so kind to people, i know you"v been through it. im okay though, i can get through this, as long as i keep my job and my lodger, thanks for replying xxx
I agree with Skippy. You do need to seek advice from someone about your finances. They would explain all your options to you, and you would feel much better discussing it with a professional.
Your health is important.
Melanie, I hope if I ever need to take a break, my company allows me to. Hope it doesn't arise for the next few years, but you never know!

It is scary, but once you've made the call and spoken to someone it's like a weight lifted off your shoulders. If I were you I would give Melanie a call - she's very nice and not at all scary! I've never met any of her team, but from what people have said on here they are lovely as well.
Believe me, life is too short to spend it being scared. If you speak to someone now you'll be on the way getting the control back in your life.
Please keep posting, we all understand what you are going through, and we're here to support you xxx
I know it's hard to take that first step, several other posters recently have been the same as you, but you will feel so much better when you do.
The people on the other end of the phone are human beings, they understand what you are going through - they deal with it every day and they will not judge you.
Why not give Melanies team a ring? She comes very highly recommended and you can see what she is like from the posts on here.
If your job and lodger go, you need to be in a position to do something about it. Otherwise things will get worse if your income drops. The advice is free and at least you will know where you stand.

No harm in having a chat with either me or any of my team. As you say you do not really need any assistance at the moment, but sometimes it is just reassuring to know that you are on the right track and doing the best you can under the circumstances.
I'm glad you can manage. Whatever you do, don't make yourself ill, and if it does get to a point where you can't (which I obviously hope it doesn't), ask for help - don't be like me and bury your head in the sand!
hi kallis, thanks for replying, your right if my job goes iv had it and also if my lodger goes, shes great lives here with me and 2 noisy but lovable kids, i dont want to end up with an iva or bankrupcy, im trying so hard hard to keep afloat, i think she knows my situation but hasnt mentioned it re-the post i get, i love my house and so do my kids and the school etc so thats why i will do all i can to stay here, but i know one day, maybe soon i will be be ringing melanie, till that time i will live in cloud cuckoo time and be happy
This site will always be here for you anytime you want any help or advice.
Don't forget that in an IVA you would be able to keep the house. We are still in ours and I wouldn't want to leave as I love it here.
Good luck for the future.
