Who knows? Nobody it would appear. I always get paid on the 27th without fail, if the 27th is on a weekend we get paid early rather than late. Today everyone else paid, nobody can find mine! Not in my bank and even though I've changed banks this would be the second payment to my new bank. Checked my old bank (very dismal reading!) but not swallowed up in there (that would have been disastorous). It will still be a disaster if we can't find them as how do I pay my mortgage which is due on the 11th of next month or my utility bills! They are currently looking into it at the main campus of the college I work for, but nobody can offer me any kind of explanation at present! How strange? Just what I could do without.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Have you spoken to your new bank? I know that a couple of times, my wages never appeared in my account on the day they were due. Spoke to my bank each time and it was a fault with their system so all BACS payments never appeared on the first run of the day etc so were delayed. The bank did another run at 3pm and my wages went in then.

Have you got your wage slip for this month that shows when what day you get paid?

This happened to me once.

My company had accidently put 1 number wrong on the bacs transaction. So they had to liase with their bank to find out where it had gone. And this was my Christmas pay packet too!!

The bank were very understanding and agreed a small overdraft to cover the DD's that were going out which immediately got paid back and cancelled once my wages were found and paid into my account.

Now, I realise this might be difficult if you're in an IVA or bankrupt, so I'd advise you to speak to your IP, then your bank to see if you can get something sorted to cover your expenses while your company sort it out. If nothing can be sorted with them, then your company should be responsible for helping you out and hopefully could give you a cheque for enough to tide you over, which again you immediately pay back once your wages have been found.

Hope this helps.

I have rang my new bank and there is nothing pending to be paid into my account as of an hour ago. Still waiting for personnel to call me back. Getting a little concerned and doing lots of calculations within a spreadsheet to see just what I can do! At the moment I am not in an IVA (just awaiting a remortgage offer then proposal will be ready), cannot have credit on bank account as it's a basic one. I was just beginning to turn things around and now this. I'm maybe having a panic about nothing (as I normally do!) and it might be sorted easily, but when we're in this situation and doing everything to get out of it, this doesn't help does it? I'll await to hear from work before I do anything drastic, but feel that I would rather do something sooner rather than later as I definately do not want any bank charges etc.,

Phone your personnel department back and tell that either the money is in your account by the end of the day, or they give you a cheque by the end of the day. Don't accept any delays. Explain you have money due to leave the account, so it HAS to be there. No excuses. At the end of the day, this is YOUR money. Not theirs.

Hi
Sometimes there is a digit error and your payment will be sent back to your employer, normaly takes three days.
At least it wasn't swallowed up by your old bank account

Oh, and if you do incur any charges then you can claim them back. If your company is at fault, they should reimburse you and if the bank is at fault, they should refund them. So I wouldn't stress too much about charges.

Almost sorted, just got to see the money! There was an input error which resulted in my salary luckily not being paid to anyone else but being refused by the Natwest! Personnel did say it would be sorted a.s.a.p! Phew had me really worried there for a short while! I am so careful with money now and find I check online after nearly every transaction. This debt thing really does make you so much more conscious of how much you are spending and what on.

This happened to me once, I was paid incorrectly at work, they paid me for 60 hours and I had worked 108, it was quite a big difference, we could not pay our mortgage payment that month, as it took me 3 weeks to even speak to someone at the Wages Department and they would not reimburse me for bank charges for failed direct debits, that’s the NHS for you! I am glad I no longer work there!

Hopefully you have got this sorted out now. Its amazing sometimes how obsessed you get checking your bank account. I have to at the minute as my husband is away until Christmas and obviously he is using the account as well as me so I just like to keep an eye on things!!

Well it's in the bank as in showing in the balance but not in the available balance so not sure if they took a cheque to my bank! Luckily we're ok till weekend when it will hopefully be cleared.
