I like where I live, we are lucky with our neighbours, close to town and only a few mins drive to a mountain!

although having looked at the rain this morning, think that will be knocked on the head for a bit, too slippery.......

Perhaps some countryside areas have livestock and the inevitable smell, but not where I am. Only crops are farmed here and the only smell you get round here at the moment is the smell of wood smoke, which I have always thought, from childhood, is one of the loveliest smells in the world.

We have Dexter cattle at the rear of my house, and the smell is a bit iffy at times. Love the livestock - hate the smell!

Not fussed on any kind of smell from a fire to be honest.

Lesley, I can completely sympathise with the noisy neighbours!

Dave says I've got an over-sensitive nose as I hate most smells - country smells and smoke being 2 of the worst, along with the smell of seaweed when the tide is out at the coast!

Our borough is a smoke free zone, but unfortunately this only applies to chimney smoke, not bonfires!

I love the smells of some flowers, vanilla, fresh bread - the country just doesn't do it for me!

My dad is super sensitive for smells. He expects mum to cook for him without making any "cooking smells"

I'm pretty easy but I don't like the smell of dogs, especially wet dog.

I love a doggy smell, especially wet dog (as ours were this morning).

Then again I'm biased!

I also love cooking smells. Freshly ground coffee and new baked bread are my favourites.

Oh no, not wet dog and coffee - 2 of the worst smells for me!

I love fresh tar, creosote and the smell of matches when they have been struck.

Freshly ground coffee is wonderful!

Love matches and my favourite has to be acetone.

I do love any sort of cooking smells - especially if I'm going to be on the receiving end of the end result!
