Thats nice girls that you remember. I remember sitting for hours too nervous to press the button . I had read for a couple of months previous to that and gained such support from everyone.
I think barb did say she was going away so hopefully will appear soon.
Looking forward to meeting some of you I hope at the frugal friends meeting.
Anyone who wants meeting before hand just ask for my email and I will arrange mobile numbers to contact and come and meet you outside .

I'd been reading the posts for ages but I was too shy (yes really!) to post. The first person to reply to me was Andy, posting as Neverending. Once you get posting though it's addictive!

No Kazzy just someone the same as everyone else but have been posting for a long time now, since I think November 2006.
It was skippy lily neverending (Andy), scardekez and the bear that helped me through, those awful weeks of waiting and not knowing if it was the right thing to do even though I wasnt posting their posts gave me such support. That is why I stayed, I may not be the best with words but the thought is always there, I have great understanding of how that desperation and fear feels and want to support in anyway that I can.

Ang,

I can totally sympathise with your worry over your hubbie. Mine had his first heart attack at 33 (he's now 61), had another two after that and then had a triple bypass. Was fine for a long while, had another heart attack in 2003 and a quadruple bypass in 2006. Still suffers with angina and now has COPD as well.

I used to panic like anything everytime he had a twinge, but I've learned to live with it now. I'm sure your hubbie will be ok.

I hope your grandaughter's operation goes ok as well. She's obviously a very brave little girl

Thanks Jan
Nice that someone knows what I mean. I am better than I was but it was such a shock for a fit healthy man to suddenly be so ill. We do everything together and the thought of him not being here is intolerable to me.
On a lighter note he is much better than when I saw him this afternoon , joking and being a pain. (normal for him) .
My grandaughter yes a brave little girl with a very strong character, but needs to be that way.
She is wonderful for coping so well with everything.
Thank you for your good wishes they are so appreciated.

It does bring you up short when these things happen, particularly if they have been fit beforehand.

I used to panic when we went to bed if I couldn't hear him breathing! It does make you paranoid.

Glad he is better. He'll soon be back home again.

Gosh Jan I did the same I started to become sleepless through listening to him breathe, I would listen at the door when he was in bed as well, his snoring was actually a relief to hear.
I know I am going to be neaurotic for a few days now I am going to fetch him in a bit. He is going to thoroughly enjoy me flapping around him like mother hen.Still he's going to get a right ribbing off his mate next door for the eye patch.
Thanks again all for the support it is nice to know I am not the only one who feels like this.

Hi Ang,

I am sure he will love all the attention. It is hard not to be worried and to panic at the slightest thing once they have had a heart attack. I still do sometimes, but not as often, or as bad as I used to be.

Hubbie says that he will tell me as and when he needs an ambulance, and to be fair, he did last time. Doesn't stop you worrying though.

If you wanted to chat about it at anytime, let me know.

Please send Steve my regards, Ang, and tell him that I expect him to absolutely milk all of the attention you will give him over the next few weeks! Hope to catch up with you both very soon.
