You're more than welcome Angela. It will take a few days but they will get back to you.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

hi i have oppened a yorkshire bank basic account it has a normal maestro debit card you can use anywhere even abroad. also has the usual S/O D/D etc no cheque book. but it is not credit checked and easy to open although you make appointment to open it with a member of staff. i recommend this to anyone who uses this forum. word of caution SOLO/ ELECTRON CARDS are not very good limited places accept them. this account offers maestro debit card

Now I'm impressed Angela that is very good service! I had to wait a few days and was wondering at one point if to send another message. I am happy with the account although I use it only to transfer my contingency money etc to as I use my Natwest Step account for day to day living and direct debits and standing orders. That way I know where I am and if daughter wants money for school etc I can do a cheque and know the money is there.

So long as what you're doing works for you Angela, I think it's fine to continue with how you are working. Tonight I've not long come in from work and daughter wants a £3.25 cheque for a workshop she needs to attend, it's neverending isn't it with children but so long as I have the cheque book and the money in there I'm happy. I don't want her to suffer in any way. Natwest branch is right near my work and I opened this prior to the Smile one and have been more than happy with both so far.

it is always wise to have a savings account to cover for unexpected bills whilst in the iva such as car / dentist etc my iva company have allowed me so much to put aside for these things.
