Hi Guys. Having recently had my IVA approved, I know its a long way off until my annual review, but I want to be organised with the paperwork to make it easier for my IP when the time comes around. Can anyone tell me what receipts I will need to keep as proof of expenditure as I think I ought to start keeping them all now? Thanks a lot. Kazzy x

You will need to keep bills with any increases on...i.e council tax or insurances.

hi kazzy you are very organised...well done....

....so far we havent ever been asked for receipts...but i know some posts say to keep things like car repairs...unexpected household expenditure....

for our upcoming review we are keeping petrol and housekeeping receipts at the moment as we are hoping to get an increase at next review as they have gone up substantially

one of the more knowledgably posters will no doubt let you know if others are required

is your review an annual one or more frequent???

I've not been asked for receipts yet, I think if anything goes up more than 10% though next time round they may want to see them. So I'd keep everything in a shoe box ready.
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.

Thanks Mrs S and tol, my review is an annual one I think. Will have to have another look at the paperwork. I do like to be organised, its what I do for a living so have become quite good at it. (how boring :)) I just know what a laborious task it must be for the IPs to have to trawl through all the receipts, so if I can make it easier, then I will. Thnx Kazzy x

We put all our reciepts for the month in an envelope, easier to keep track of them. As mentioned if you can make your Ip's job easier in any way it can only help your working relationship.(dont have them chase you for things).
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

Kazzy - we only look for material differences, but it is a good idea to get one of those concertina box files and just put everything into a separate monthly compartment - if they are not needed for the review, you can throw them away and start collecting for the following year.

OK thanks Melanie. I'll do that, then hopefully should make the task easier at the year end review. Kazzy x
